Cool (not ice) showers, aloe or plain moisturizer, loose clothing, and leave blisters intact — they're sterile dressings your body built. The IV is the inside half of a two-front treatment.

Blistering over a large area, fever that persists, dizziness or confusion, severe pain, or any significant burn on a young child — that's medical care, not a house call. Heat stroke signs (confusion, hot dry skin) are 911, immediately.

No promises there — peeling is the skin shedding damaged layers and mostly runs its course. Well-hydrated skin tends to weather it better, but we won't sell you a miracle.
